You might have a point on that foul, but you can't possibly defend the penalty decision surely? The ref was 100% pressurised into it.

I'm not defending the decision. It was a shocker. I'm just saying it was an honest error. The pressure got to him but what I'm taking offence to is the accusations that the referee took a ****ing bribe.
 
The pen was a soft decision but we all know what he saw. Dejan had his arm around Fred and Fred made the most of it. Not enough force from Dejan to be a foul but refs are fooled by this stuff all the time. Dejan should have known better. For the disallowed goal the ref has seen an assistant flag. Blame the assistant. And the yellow for the elbow was the right call.

Why? I'll never understand your pathological need to defend refereeing incompetence at every turn.

Because there's absolutely no evidence of it apart from an incompetent performance. I'm not defending the incompetence just the suggestions that he was fixing the match. Utter bollocks.
 
If they dropped every lineman and ref who favors Brazil in their calls, they wouldn't have any officials left.

Besides, why would they get mad about the officials helping Brazil when they've paid them to do exactly that?
