Well, yes.

My theory is that most posters are reasonably realistic when no fans of other teams are around, but as soon as outsiders appear many switch to bravado mode and suddenly City are amazing and none of the players can do any wrong.

When challenged, we revert to the flight or fight. We are simply an online microcosm of human nature.

Like the nature or nurture discussion. Many posters are just how they are as that's how they are, others are like they are because of some very dark goings on in their past.

I'd be very surprised if its Brucey; that said if it is then thank you and goodbye. No point having him here if he prefers to potentially be somewhere else. I'm sure though that Brucey is using the situation to maximise his own supposed improved deal here
 
I don't think it's the type of job Bruce would go for.

Don't they have a Director Of Football? Not sure if that would suit Bruce.

Plus it'll be a hard job. Rebuilding that squad will take some doing.
 
Although I don't doubt that Bruce would leave if he was made an offer, I can't see Southampton going for him as their fans wouldn't accept him.
 
If the media, and especially the local hacks, had any backbone at all then garbage like this would not make the headlines. What is it based on? A quote from Southampton saying they are interested in speaking to Steve Bruce? A quote from SB saying he is interested in speaking to them? Or a quote from City saying Southampton have been in touch asking for permission to speak to SB?
The answer to all three questions is NO!
It is speculation and **** stirring, space fillers for lazy journalists, and nothing else.
They might as well headline with 'Alex Ferguson in line for Steve Bruce's job'
Because that would contain as much credibility and truth as this rubbish currently being churned out about 'Steve Bruce willing to sever all links with Hull City'

All the quality hacks are in Brazil / Miami. Very lazy reporting imo. I bet Steve Bruce would like Messi at the KC but we all know it wont happen.

You can tell by the lack of transfer news at the moment and most of the rumours on offer are old ones served up again.
