Decent odds then I'm guessing? The bookies obviously know something's happening, a couple of them have suspended betting on Koeman now. I wonder if we'll hear tonight?
Didn't Koeman almost get Valencia relegated with a team that had Silva, Joaquin, Albelda, Villa, Mata, Baraja, Albiol in? Possibly Marchena aswell. I wouldn't be jumping for joy if he was appointed, but as most managers have blips on their CVs it really means little to me how bad he was at club x and how well he did at club y. There are so many managers who do well/fail when most people expect the opposite.
Yeah he did. The excuse is that a lot of those players wanted to leave and it wasn't a very happy place to be, but you know, it's not like we've got a happy little squad here.
Without wishing to judge Ron too quickly, we may well be in a fight against relegation anyway. I must say, I'm already looking for the weak links in the league, but it looks quite strong. Burnley are going to be the bookies favourite, Hull will struggle with Thursday night football, but I think its going to be a tough season overall.
And Pochettino took Espanyol to bottom of the league (yes, I know players were sold etc, but they didn't end up bottom when they changed manager). Circumstances change and some clubs don't fit. Let's give this a go and see where it takes us.
We will be again...most of the same players will still be there...all depends how they take to the manager and new coaches. Can't we be positive a little longer?
But he could be great for us? Not everything works out and it didn't at Valencia. But it has at other clubs. I would rather have koeman then and one else on the betting list. Apart from the crazy odds (such as De Boer etc)
