Good analysis. Feyeonord have some good players that might follow Koeman as well. Two good CBS in Kongolo and Indi. Clasie good Lallana replacement if required too.
We won't be spending £80m in one transfer window, and there's a good chance we'll keep Shaw as far as I'm concerned, so I'm going to keep assuming it's £50m at the very most. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see De Vrij come in if he's decided he wants to leave the club, and I would love Martins Indi as well, though obviously we wouldn't sign both. We may have yet another summer of being linked with Astori as well, as it seems he'll go for about £8m, and I'd definitely still like him. Two new strikers are needed really, and at one has to be a really top player. That's where the big money should go. Keeper, yep, but not too expensive, and at least one more creative option in the attacking mid/wing area.
I don't se us spending anywhere near that either. If we don't sell anyone else then i think less than £20 million may be available. Then again there is still the Osvaldo thing to sort out. What happens to him if Koeman does come here? And if he gets sold regardless, how much for? That sendoff from Feyenoord video is pretty crazy. Although i expect a big part of that is because of his playing career. Still, you can't argue that he isn't a popular guy. He does seem to conduct himself very well also. He would be a class act here for sure!
Obviously he was well respected for his international career, but he played for Feyenoords main rivals in PSV & Ajax so I expect he would have had to convince some of the die hards
Rumours on twitter than Koeman is odds-on. He has landed in London and is flying to Southampton for talks today.
My only concern ref RonALD , IS HE NEVER SEEMS TO STAY IN ONE PLACE FOR LONG , IS THAT WHAT WE REALLY NEED AT THE MOMENT ? Bloody caps lock . I blame the new keypad !!!
