I would be surprised if a chairman didn't earn more than the playing staff. He has huge responsibilities. Markus attracted him here and paid what he thought he was worth. He has subsequently earnt that money. SFC is a private company with only 1 shareholder (the late sainted Markus). Nothing to do with us or ANYBODY else.
One of the bad things about modern football....players earning more than the manager. It just adds to the whole player power thing.
I'm glad Cortese is on more than the players. It's the way football should be. Hopefully Adkins is getting a decent wage too.

It was Cortese who talked Markus into buying Saints, but Markus said he wouldn't buy unless Cortese was Chairman, so both statements are true.
Well thanks for the invitation to discuss it, but are you not going to join in? Do you think it is too much, or is there a tinge of the green eyed monster there? Do you know of anyone that would be better value?
If you look at all his other posts you will see he is another Kinda Hoadi. I think he has only posted about 6 or 7 times all on different boards. According to his profile he does not or has not formed an allegiance with a single club although he supports England.
Nicola Cortese not only helped to save our great club, he has given Southampton FC back its' pride and dignity, with the help of St Markus's legacy, so, in my opinion, he is worth every penny and more.
And yet another fairy tale thought up by another student.....
