Even their ****ing rat packs were spot on Comm. They got Tabasco sauce & all kinds of tasty goodies. Beat the **** we got hands down.
Honour killing is wrong - it is a practice in some remote areas of the world. Similar practices occur in traditional African communities and these communities have been known to do this in London and Birmingham. In London there is also evidence of child sacrifices. I am aware of this and such things can only be condemned. My argument, if you are able to connect to it, is that it is wrong. Dispicable attrocities have been committed in the name of cultural belief and that includes religion, it also includes Christian communities. I believe it is wrong to present a case that only condemns one religion, in an attempt to elevate the moral high ground of another culture. You are welcome to your opinion, however, this kind of language, 'tone' and personalisation is unnecessary.
Yes I know I'm entitled. How you interpret the language & tone is entirely up to you. The 'personalisation' crack is erroneous as well, I'm talking to you & you're talking to me, that's all. I'm simply pointing out that your claim that this is only a problem in 'remote parts of the world' is 100% incorrect.
Evidently you believe it is wrong to present a case that condemns religion full stop, you've started a thread about it. I agree that highlighting the bad things about particular religions is a little close-minded, there's always scope for research to prove that every religion has it's idiots who will cross the line. The reason it happens so much with the muslims is because it is thrust upon us by the media, then people use this to form an opinion, despite the majority of media outlets being utterly horrific companies. I maintain though, there's no chance in hell I'm being gagged from talking about things that personally annoy me that have stemmed from fantasy creations, based on lies created many a millennia ago.
I disagree Terry. It's a very easy comment to make but, to be honest, people make should be able to mention a certain atrocity or whatever. This is a chat forum where I assume people are adults and not Crown Court. We shouldn't need to add a disclaimer explaining every time, in detail, that they're simply making a comment about a specific point and not condemning every single aspect of a country, culture or religion.
Here's something weird. I'm actually 543 years ahead of you lot. I'm currently in 2557...and i ain't lying nor pissed.
Right, just to clarify, I've got **** all against law abiding muslims but I have got something against radical islamists who think that it's fine to implement shariah law in any country they choose to settle in. If that's the life they want to lead, then **** off to Syria you fat twats. Honour killings, stonings, throwing acid in a lasses face, by their own brothers & fathers? Smashing her ****ing head in with a brick because she went & married a feller her arsehole of a dad hadn't picked for her? Seriously, wtf???????? They are living in the ****ing dark ages man, but it's alright. Because it's tradition. Nee bother then.
25th century. wow. You must have starships and loads of beamy things and that. I know you have a time difference mate but that`s a bit ridiculous isn`t it?
It is not a theory. It is a Theory. Like Germ Theory, Quantum Theory, and the Theory of Gravitation. And, like these other Theories, it is also fact. I'm not quite sure how your point '...**** pupils over in science gcse's'? Please explain.
That's fair enough Smug, but what shouldn't happen is the condemning of the religion due to highlighting individual things. It's the people who have misinterpreted the religion's 'rulebook' that have caused these isolated (although frequent) incidents, these people can be made a case of but to shoot down the entire religion because of it is wrong in my opinion. You should either shoot down the individual preachings of isolated groups or shoot down religion on the whole, which is the route I usually choose to take.
It's up to the majority of a religion/culture/country to 'shoot down' those who betray the principles etc. Sadly these 'honour killings' etc aren't condemned anywhere near enough which leads people to believe it's endemic.
