He's got a reputation for working his players hard (may suit or pressing game) but I can't see his appointment really inspiring the players, almost all of his time as a manager was in Germany, and don't think he'll suit the players we have. A step backwards in my eyes

Regardless of whether some people do match that rather extreme description, it feels like a kick in the teeth for all of us who want the best for this club to see people practically celebrating their own brilliance at predicting the worst.

I for one aren't doing that. I was just using sarcasm to try and lighten the mood. I don't want any one to leave, but it's been obvious for a while that something wasn't right. When ever any one said they feared something happening they were shot down time after time being called a bed wetter or moaned at. Because it's been frustrating for months - every time anyone has dared to suggest something negative, they get called a bedwetter or get told that it's just meaningless speculation or have Reed's "nobody will leave" story rammed at them. There is some (though related to the situation, very little) solace in having people like that have to face reality. It's not ****ing celebrating.

For once I'll say I wish Cortese was back, he'd never tolerate such a statement by a sponsor.

The writing has been on the wall ever since Cortese left and was replaced by someone who said not a damned thing about progression, while making a lot of noise about the team's finances. I was hoping that the team might be sold before it reached this point, but here we are.

Hopefully we'll get a new manager who is even better, and all of the money received on sales will be spent, and reinvested wisely. But I wouldn't exactly count on the latter half of that equation.
