I'd really like Lansbury back. He had some awesome matches for us and he seemed to be involved in a lot of Forest's best work last season. I think him Howson and Tettey would be a brilliant midfield 3, especially in the Champ!
We should probably let Surman go but I do wonder whether his inside knowledge of the Champs may make him very useful to us.
He was/is creative (something we've lacked) and played nearly every game for a team challenging for the play-offs. Depending on how Adams wants to play, and what personnel come and go, he could be very handy to have back. I'd like to see him play on the left but with the freedom to come inside, and rely on Olsson to provide width, as he should be more able to go forwards in the championship.
Surman should stay here, he is still a good age and can play centrally as well as wide. No brainer for me.
Agreed One of the big problems with Surman was that we didn't really have a position for him to fit into our team. He wasn't quick enough for a premier league player out wide and our structure didn't really accommodate him in the middle. I was reading an interview just a couple of weeks ago and it sounds as though he has really added to his game in central midfield and his pace isn't such an issue in the Championship
If we'd stayed up it would be a good offer an i think he'd have gone, however he's an excellent Championship midfielder and he fits nicely with the way Adams is talking about playing this year. I reckon he'll stay unless he really wants to go.
Apparently Pilks was fit and available for the end of the season, but neither Adams or Hughton wanted to use him, leaving him unsure of his future. Whilst I really like him, it he wants Prem wages and Adams doesn't want him, I could see him leaving. His injuries don't help either. It'd be a shame if he was forced out to make room for Josh Murphy though, he's a far, far better player.
I think Pilkington was one of the few who performed under Hughton. He's another who could have a massive impact in the Championship. If he got into a rythmn I could see him getting 15 goals.
Arsenal now linked with Ruddy too. Source is the Daily Mail so I'm going to write this one off until further evidence.
If that's true then something is seriously wrong with football! He had 1 good season for the worst team in the league. Of course he made a lot of saves, he had so many shots coming at him he was bound to be a bit more practised!
Hull sniffing after Snodgrass doing the rounds now. I'm sure there will be a lot of interest in Snoddy so this isn't much of a surprise.
Would we get a slice of that as part of a sell on? We only sold him for 500k so that might suggest there were other incentives in the deal.
