Nash was a strange one. Was looking through some old programmes (just to remind myself we've been here before!) and there he was playing against us for Stockport in October 1999!
Is this real? If so, quite literally, the best piece of news we've heard in a long time. Right up there with Ruddy and Redmond confirming they're staying. Suggests Adams is doing something right in the dressing room which we wouldn't know about. Encouraging.
Yes it is real. He is exactly the type of combative midfielder we will be needing in the Championship at times, on wet Tuesday night. We still need a creative attacking midfielder though. Wonder what Lansbury is upto these days?
Tettey is good news, probably the first we've had this week! Fox was probably unlikely to feature again, and Nash is no loss. Hopefully we can keep Pilks, his lack of games last season and injury issues may hinder him getting another club. As KEMP says though, it further accentuates the need to bring in a creative midfielder.
IMO, Josh Murphy could be one to keep, but basically agree re the others. I'd like to see Morris loaned out to see what he can do!!
According to the official Premier League retained list... Michael Turner, Anthony Pilkington and Wes Hoolahan have all been retained although they're contracts were set to expire were they not??
I'm delighted that Tettey is staying but does Adams rate him? He was dropped (bizarrely, in my opinion) when Adams took over.
