Madrid fans are the most unforgiving fans towards big money signings in their first season. Zidane was booed in his first season and it took a couple of years before they fully appreciated Ronaldo (even with his constant flow of goals). Ronaldo also received his time for being booed. I would include Jose but even with his success the fans never wanted his style of management. Playing for Real Madrid is probably the biggest test of a players self belief and Modric does deserve huge respect, especially as he didn't get the respect his talent deserved when we had him.
Modric was a cock ... pretty much refused to play when denied his "dream move" to chelsea and then started being a cock again when his "dream move " to RM became a possibility...a great player but a complete cock Bale played his heart out every match and waited until the season was over and had his hissy fit behind closed doors. I am pleased for him....but not for modric.
Modric played some of the best football of his career in his final season the summer after being denied his move (although credit for Redknapps man management) . He shouldn't have signed that long term contract with us (to only then demand a move) but thats standard procedure for players to sign a long term deal so they get paid more before their dream move. Fantastic player and I'm pleased for the rat faced genius!
He also refused to play v united and city in our first 2 matches to try and force a move to chelsea...that makes him a cock
http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896...ould-never-refuse-to-play-for-tottenham-harry He never refused to play, he played in the match against City, was left out of the Utd match (as his head wasn't right) so you can call him a sensitive (cock) but you can't deny he gave his all for the club when picked as once it became clear we wouldn't sell to Chelsea, he never caused a problem that season.
That CL win must have triggered at least one add-on clause in the Modric deal. Get real Madrid : your money or your Morata.
There are various rumours about it triggering clauses for both Modric and Bale, but nothing concrete.
Doubt it for Bale (86m quid is a bad enough hit) . But I recall the talk of the Modric deal including add-ons.
they wont be fantastic add on clauses..if anything itll be more finances. However im not the most confident when it comes to us spending money anyway.
"they wont be fantastic add on clauses..if anything itll be more finances." Enough to pay for Pochettinos' translator team for a while.
Levy wont hire him one......its not the Levy way.....he will buy him a translation book and tell him to get on with it.
QPR promoted in the most undeserving promotion ever! I feel sorry for Derby. Also, it could be possible that Redknap couild take another club under, what with QPR massively in breach of FFP. To paraphrase (and re-write) Wilde, to lose one club may be regarded as a misfortune, to lose two looks like carelessness, but to lose three - ffs!
If the club goes under, blame Fernandes not Redknapp. As with all his other clubs, the problem would be with the people who sign the cheques. Why on earth you think this is worth wumming over I cannot imagine.
My bad re city...but head wasn't right is refusing to play by another name...anyhow we obviously disagree and as I am usually wrong I think you should be kind enough to let me win this one
Every single person that left Madrid last year (Ozil, Higuain, Callejon, Albiol ) won a trophy.....except Jose...is this true? plus all the players he left behind at Real. STAT.
Kaka and Essien joined Milan, so they didn't win anything. Pedro Leon joined Getafe and they didn't win anything, either.
Dona, don't get your stats from TerryTheStatMan as Roo also used to use him on TWITter. Not realible like 99% of people on Twitter, just ask Roo!
I read it off someone on Ja606...so was just querying...I don't go on twitter...Fb or even Ja606 is just as a non member...I try not to feed the narcissistic society we have created lol.
I'm no good for stats. Isn't PS your man for that?! Surprised you're on here today, Boss. Thought you'd be at Radio 1' big weekend in Glasgow watching One Direction!
