Who was sent that? I didn't see it and I have to use car parking every home game - obvious candidate to respond.

It took four years to mess up the roads between St Thomas and SA1 - three years is like a blink of the eye to Swansea Council.

I'm lucky and can walk in about 30 minutes. Traffic around there is an absolute nightmare.

Monty - probably something to do with making a commitment to do it and then just doing it? If it's half full next season, then so be it, but the scope will be there.

Anyway, only commented because someone just had to mention our stadium expansion on the trhead in the time honoured "sour grape" style - I thought this thread was about yours so why even mention it?

Like I've always said, anyone can make up the stories to suit usual the forum rhetoric - no problem with that. Let's just deal in facts for the minute.

We are back in Championship next season whereas you have another go at the Premier League again - FACT and good luck to you.

Our stadium is being expanded as we speak, actually ahead of schedule, whereas yours is not - FACT and also good luck to you. <ok>

Strange how the CCFC stadium can get those additional seats added that quickly ( different planning criteria
and process at Cardiff ? dont know)

The Swans board have been quick and decisive and ambitious in establishing the two training / academy grounds .
This has come about through a go ahead, ambitious and trusted partnership with the likes of Swansea university.

('Go ahead' and 'ambitious' not the words that spring to mind with Swansea Council and it's regeneration office )

Hopefully the club can work constructively with David Phillips and whoever's involved in reducing the planning red tape here. Hopefully ,soon the club can get a positive announcement out regarding the first phase expansion of Liberty .
The sooner it's expanded to 27,000 seats the better.

There is no red tape in planning as I stated earlier full planning permission has been given. ALL the details have been agreed. The onus is now on the club to move the project forward.

I see nothing wrong in anyone here mentioning whatever they like about Cardiff without the need to explain why they did so. Don't think anyone needs to worry about our stadium being "half full" as suggested because the figures show it'll be packed to the rafters again next season when we're playing the likes of Man U and Arsenal. <ok>

I didn't say there was anything wrong about mentioning it, I just said I only commented on thread because of it and what was said.

I have no doubt your stadium will be "packed to the rafters" next season. If you couldn't get 20K to watch your club playing the likes of the teams you mention, it would be a pretty poor show. The point of the article seems to be that you need more capacity at the Liberty, nothing else and nothing to do with Cardiff. <ok>

The extension was blocked in the end for a number of reasons but the two main reasons are parking and road congestion on match days. Until these two major blocks are sorted out then we are unable to expand like we want too....How long that would take is anyone's guess but more than 3 years i would imagine.....I don't understand why we never built a multistory car park near the stadium that fans can use on match days and the general public on non match days, It could be a money spinner and solve one of the problems..

In the same way, whatever positive spin you put on it, I find it absolutely hilarious that your extension is going ahead! I might tune into the Football League show just to check out your empty red seats. At last some seats to match your kit. Do you think you can individually replace your lego blocks to match your dual-tone red too?!

That not the issue theres plenty of land available to build on , it's the lack of road infrastructure leading to the area which is the problem

    Do you really? How odd.

I could equally say that I find that yours not going ahead is equally hilarious. The other stuff you mention in that comment qualifies for child of the month post.

Why don't you discuss your own (perceived) problems with your stadium development on this decent discussion thread without making yourself look a right prat by taking it off course mentioning Cardiff?

Mat i said that we never had the parking sorted when the stadium was built and we should have built a multistory car park to accommodate the fans at the same time.

    Really?

"Anyway, only commented because someone just had to mention our stadium expansion on the trhead in the time honoured "sour grape" style - I thought this thread was about yours so why even mention it?"

Youngsters tell me that's being pwned, but I'm not sure. :)

Furthermore, please stop insulting our posters with name-calling. You have threatened bans on Swansea posters on your board for a lot less - including merely criticising Tan the Man - you know, the Chairman who seems to have developed a strange limp since he finds it difficult to walk with your tongue permanently up his ass.

planning permission regarding the stadium expansion has been fully approved which also covers concerns relating to transport, travel and parking.the club can start on the extension build whenever they want. Any talk of travel or parking issues are not a relevant issue. Planning approval has been granted.

We all thought that but its all change..it was blocked by the council and until certain things has been done and i mean major concerns then there is no way we can build an extension on this earth. We may build an internal small extension for the media and that's it....
