AB messaged me last night asking for some computer advice. I couldn't help him so I sent him a visitor message telling him to ask on here for advice. Just seen his response and couldn't resist editing my original comment. ;)

What's the longest any of you have been on the dole?

I've applied for tonnes of jobs, most of them that cry out of the qualifications and experience i have, but most of them don't even respond, and the 5 jobs i've had interviews for i've been beaten by someone else!

I was for about 5-6 months a couple of years ago, it's tough, you need to just keep trying and keep getting applications in.

I've been on since September, finally started getting job offers the last month or two, but can't take them since they want me for 6-12 months minimum, even though I'm moving next month and start uni in September... So, unless I have more luck in the smog than here, I'll probably have been on a year by the time I sign off.

Never been on the dole Tash. Not bragging it is a fact of life over here we have virtually no unemployment. If you want a job you can always get one, have to import Latvians on work licences to take the low paid jobs that nobody wants.

Got plenty of experience of interviews though both applying and reviewing if you ever want any advice on applying for jobs and preparing for interviews! :)
 
Hello i am back to spout more drivel. Had a ok journey back Larnarca airport is no longer the worst in Europe (porb down to me complaining) turbulence over Boro what do you expect. All in all a decent 2 weeks. Hope i havent been missed much and knowing m back we wont sign anyone

Hmmm, well I know who not to ask for advice from in future. I could do worse than put up some of your messages.
