Just watching my Guernsey friend Heather Watson playing her first round match (live on the beeb). Just got injured though and is struggling. Won the first set though.
You can almost picture the conversation between the guys building it and the guy who told them to build it. "There's a goalpost there, what do you want me to do?" "I SAID BUILD THE DAMN FENCE" "... You're the boss..."
So frustrating that she is injured. Still in it despite her racket arm being strapped up and on pain killers. I think she may end up being out of the tournamet even if she gets through. Getting loads of sightings of her mum and dad though, Ian and Michelle. They are the ones I know well really, as Heather has been at Tennis Academy in Florida since she was about thirteen. Haven't actually spoken to her for about four years.
Totally gutted for Heather. Lovely girl and really deserved more than that, she was well on top until the injury!
Just started, I don't know what court but it's on the BBC website: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/9518241.stm
