I had a interesting night. Walking through Ayia Napa in my Toon top, nephews in his. PR bloke person came up and said Newcastle are crap arent they, asked who he supported, Gunners. Stuck 4 fingers up on each hand and sang 4-0 and you ****ed it up.

Had a Norwegian begging us to keep Lovenkrands due to his mates travelling to SJP just to see him play.

Has anyone ever met players outside the ground before/after a match? I've never met a toon player so I thought next time I'm at a home or away game I'd see if it could be done..
 
I'm seriously starting to hate Twitter, and I don't even use it. Every other thread on here seems to be centred around some bullshit tweet these days, people are unbelievably naive.

Anyway, I've wasted most of my morning on this. Stupidly addictive, I can still here the sounds even after I've stopped playing. :undecided:
 
They tried to charge people to view it? I'd need to be paid a three figure sum to even contemplate watching it.

Craig Bellamy in a baseball cap, stormed past us,face like thunder, wasn't much of a conversation.... mind you we had just been ****ed out of the Champions league by Partizan Belgrade on pens :(

Not a Toon player. Met Micky Hazard outside Plough Lane (Wimbledon) when he played there for Chelsea. I was with a bunch of lads on a football tour and we were waiting for our coach (as in bus not the guy who tells us what to do :)). He came up to us for a chat. Seemed like a good bloke but a bit put out that we didn't seem to be very impressed with him. He wasn't very good after all!

Has anyone ever met a player who just didn't live up to expectations at all i.e. you have idolised them for months/years and they were a total tw*t when you met them, or they come across as horrid on the pitch but when you met them they were the epitome of kindness?
