i was a big fan of pearson when he was saints manager. He did a great job and kept saints up in an a very difficult situation, the club being in a complete mess at a time. Pleased to see he's getting a crack in the premisership - done a great job there. Another example of a poor decision by lowe when he sacked him!!

and also adkins, I have a sneaky feeling reading are going to sneak in through the back door!

If Poch were to leave in the summer what are the odds on an adkins return to sfc?

Zilch. Would be a backwards step. He isn't going to take us into the top 6.

ok its a long shot!

like everyone I think poch is a top top manager and I personally don't think he'll leave saints in the summer.

but the problem with having good players and managers at saints is that they invariably leave!!!!!!!!

IF MP leaves , I would love to have NP back , but he won't leave Leicester and I don't blame him .

Both excellent managers, and I would welcome them back to St Mary's greatly. I would actually love to see Nige, Adkins that is, to return as Saints manager one day. Just because I love the guy, and I miss his interviews.

Both are not what we need to push on.

Yes indeed. Difficult to criticise now though, as those poor decisions led to Saints almost going out of business and being recognised and rescued by Liebherr/Cortese. Even if Lowe had made good decisions throughout I suspect SFC would be a stable middling Championship side, or Premier League cannon fodder, at the very best.

Chances of Adkins returning..? None.

a comfy upper mid table spot not good enough for saints!

I think we should work towards having the entire England team playing for saints

We don't do comfy anymore. That was another club in another era. Quite like the idea of the entire England team being within the squad, if only, that it would suggest that Saints are doing even better than now.

I don't recall us ever being comfy, except possibly early '80's under Lawrie Mac and early 2000's under WGS.

Just one thing JS .

Lowe didn't actually sack NP , he simply failed to offer him a new contract .

This after Leon Crouch stepped down and asked the incoming board ( RL ) to keep NP , so even worse than sacking him IMHO .

And for the record , Comfy and sustainable suits me fine .

So you are willing to lose all our players then? That's what will happen if you want just comfy.

Interesting.

Comfy suits me fine, but

I do want glory and sensible progression.

Well, I suppose you get comfy, to a certain extent, when you get success.

However, if posters [not you FLT] mean comfy as mid-table obscurity, which results in the gradual decline in the club, then I want no part of comfy. You can be comfy in League Two, or even Non-League for that matter. No stresses, no strains. Do you really want to be that comfy..? :)

Disagree. Our ambitions mean both are not good enough for us now.
