I still believe that a manager capable of back-to-back promotions could have had real success in the long-term. But hey, each to their own I suppose.
oh I suppose if we really have to win something. go on then. yes I'd rather saints won the cup (as long as no one celebrated)
Just to make it clear, I think Mauricio is a great manager for us, and hope he stays for a very long time.
That's the difficulty. I would like to see Mauricio give an interview in English at some point, but that would mean losing David.
it's going to be very difficult to do better next season withoup MP in charge that's for sure. I'm pretty sure he'll stay, doubtless they'll need to promise him big funds to spend, maybe sell one of our top players and in spite of the Osvaldo cock up back him in the transfer market and treble his salary etc but there's no doubt he is an exceptional manager
Actually, I like it that Poch can speak English but chooses not to. It's already been debated and discussed how he makes it work to his advantage, and long may he continue to do so.
The only way we will keep all our players now and in the future is by paying them daft wages , the only way we can do that long term is buy having a larger stadium . We won't fill it , so IMHO we are , always have been and always will be a selling club . Not saying I like the idea , but I think it is a reality . Give me 10 more years of being safe by latter stages of the season and an occasional cup win and I would settle for that . BTW , Football is not my first love in sport , so I don't think I get as involved as many of you , but I am entitled to my Opinion
Just been watching Poch's pre-Swansea press conference. Using David as a buffer is such an advantage for him. Reporters just can't get at him.
all clubs sell players! we have an identity - giving our young English lads a chance to play at the top level
Yes we will sell some players. But if we just went "ah **** it we will never get near the top 4 that's give up" plenty more will leave.
The lack of ambition in some people is rather perplexing. Let me guess, you don't take many chances in life.
I have taken plenty of chances in my earlier life , now I am content and starting to wind down . Looking forwards to retirement in a few years ( all being well ) . But thanks for your concern..................
All this talk of progression, how many people seriously think we'll better our league position next year?
