Only one assist but passed the ball to borini who played Giaccherini in for his. Scored 2 and had a hand in the other 2. Motm for me. If Andy Carroll is touted for the world cup then Connor Wickham should be. I'm not saying he should go just that, at present, he is the best striker in the last 3 games!

Just as much as the goals is he now looks willing to fight for every ball, he can be an absolute weapon and a top, top player. He's sorted his mentality, and it's all there for him now. The lad was magnificent today, no mistake, he was superb.
Looks like Gus and co have managed him v well cos that's not the Connor we had before. Great run and hope he keeps it up. Great performance from all today.
When we sold Carroll I had hoped we'd go for Wickham as a long term solution but I wasn't asked for my opinion
Niall Quinn was saying when he first came to Sunderland, Wickham thought he had made it. He was last in and first away from training. The lad has all the ability to be the best. Just needs to work hard.
