The pundits on TalkShite are absolutely creaming their pants over Giggs first game in charge, with that utter twat, Mark Saggers, leading the chorus. Among all the praise, not one of these idiots has pointed out the very simple fact that United beat the mighty Norwich, and game that even Moyes would probably have won, even with all the knives in his back from all the players.
God! I hope the Glazers do a "Levy" and go for the cheap-skate option by appointed Giggs. I'll be straight down the bookies to put a wager on that he'll be sacked by the January transfer window.
No fool would reach conclusions about a manager and his team after one game (unless you're Chelsea), but there were signs in the attitude and performance of the Utd players - particularly in the second half - which suggested they were playing for Giggs, but hadn't been for Moyes. They played like Utd - higher tempo, players coming forward in numbers and getting ahead of the ball, pressing the opposition back, slicker passing, looking to shoot more often, more desire to win the ball back......why haven't they been doing this for the past few months? They would have beaten many better teams than Norwich yesterday.
