£10 million for Adebayor would be value, we won't pay the wages, but in terms of the clubs profile, a signing like this would be enourmous.

Mind you, I would expect his real value to be in the region of £20m. He's going cheap because of his wage demands, so if the club are prepared to stump up the cash to his wages budget that would have gone on his true transfer value?

Adebayor is a rich man's Kenwyne Jones - Undoubtedly more talented but just as lazy particularly when things don't go his way - It may signal the right intentions from the club but I'd give it about 3 months before the fans turn on him when he doesn't get the free-kicks he did at City, Arsenal etc. and he starts moping around. And he's a complete twat like '78 said!!
There's not a chance that Adebayor will want to come to the North East - we've seen it time and time again with big name strikers (apart from when we got Tore Andre Flo and he was ruddy awful). I want to forget who Darren Bent is.
