A lot of posters i don't know on here today, looks like the bandwaggoning Hamelots are coming out in force.
Yes, listen to all the praise being showered onto the great man. You can't go a single page without someone say what a great driver he is and how it's all down to him and not the car
You were one of those people saying Vettel's success was down to his car, Hamilton's car is even better. Where's the consistency? And sarge, i was multitasking, had the Arsenal match on one tab, this on another.
As he's having his ass whooped by his team-mate, suggests that part is true. Has anyone here ever denied that the Mercedes is by far the best car on the grid? It's not even debatable it's that far ahead.
How can anyone get close to this Mercedes then? I can't believe there is such a power difference. How likely is it that the customer Mercedes-powered teams can re-jig their engines to the same as the Merc team? Are they able to? Renault will come good eventually I think- they are just running out of time this year. McLaren need a long hard look at themselves and why they are miles and miles behind, with Button admitting they are front-limited in the Sky interview today. Hopefully today is a reality check for them.
Nobody is going to get close to that Mercedes unless somehow Ferrari and Renault will be allowed to copy that split turbo. The FIA might pull a fast one when they know both Mercedes drivers have it in the bag like they knew with Vettel and Red Bull in 2011.
Clearly it's not all engine though... The whole Merc package seems to be light years ahead at present.
Yup I also don't care what Lewis says with regards to Red Bulls aero in the high speed being equal or better, my boys at Mercedes/Brackley have made a killer in high speed aero with great balance, much more so than what Red Bull have at the moment and Helmut is just talking **** thinking if their chassis is the best. Malaysia sector 2: 1 44 Lewis Hamilton 41.280 On a banker lap 2 6 Nico Rosberg 41.483 3 1 Sebastian Vettel 41.552 Pretty much fighting the car 4 3 Daniel Ricciardo 41.890 Bahrain sector 2: 1 6 Nico Rosberg 40.300 2 44 Lewis Hamilton 40.488 Messed up his last lap so he was going to go faster 3 3 Daniel Ricciardo 40.669 4 77 Valtteri Bottas 40.711 *Vettel has waste gate problem China sector 2: 1 44 Lewis Hamilton 34.914 Admitted in making errors in turns 9-10 in his own footage 2 3 Daniel Ricciardo 34.963 Declared a faultless lap 3 1 Sebastian Vettel 35.094 Messed up his last lap. 4 6 Nico Rosberg 35.114 Completely ruined his best lap so would of been higher was seeing 0.2 up on Lewis in sector 2 before spin
I think the race organisers should be penalised for the embarrassing finish to the race. The problem with all sport forums, as opposed to F1 dedicated, is that anyone can spout out their prejudices even if they are not interested in the sport that they are commenting on. 2013 season has to be the worst season in F1 history. After the last 4 years people that had never ever contributed to an F1 discussion declared that Vettel was a great. They read it in the papers. Hamilton wears an earring so that rules him out. Everyone that follows F1 knows that the Mercedes power unit is 40bhp ahead than the other power units. We also know that the Red Bull Aero is as good as the Mercedes. It is just a question of time before Renault sort the problem. I think that Hamilton is one of the most exciting race drivers I have seen. Apart from Fangio I have seen them all.
what your forgetting is both dan and lewis were going quicker than nico just before his spin,so they both had to back out of the second flying laps.i think dan was 3 tenths upon nico after the second sector, and lewis was even quicker than that.so 3rd was probably the best nico could do,just like in aus and mal.and at the end of the day, dan is getting more out of the car than vettel, despite being new to the team.vettels a 4x wc,he should be doing better.
Hamilton does badly, it's his fault. Hamilton does well, it's the car's fault, the sport is biased. And they call everyone else hypocrites. While displaying massive hypocrisy themselves.
well many believe vettel was given number 1 treatment, because of the fact they took parts off of marks car and put them on vettels.plus marks car was always having issues.ppl wanted to see how well vettel would do against a top driver as a team mate.now it looks like he might have one,he's struggling.and dan is not on the same level as alonso and lewis.
What I've seen of Dan this season I'm not so sure he's not one of the best. He is taking it to Vettel very effectively. He looks comfortable, quick and mentally strong: he's not afraid of a 4 times WDC.
Apart from Bahrian, its been pretty boring but as a Hamilton fan I won't pretend Im not enjoying his results. For anyone who isn't a Ham/Merc it must feel as bad as 2013 felt to me. Loving the Red-Bull battle as well!
Enjoying the result, but not so much fun to watch today. I'd prefer to be watching Hamilton battle for the lead than not seeing for the majority of the race because he's out on his lonesome.
Yes as a Hamilton fan (and I would imagine every other F1 fan) seeing Hamilton win like Bahrian is far better than seeing him win like Malaysia and China. However I won't complain because I don't think it will last as long for him as it did for Vettel. And I'm glad to finally see imho the best driver in the best car at last.
