The FIA provide a lot of information over each race weekend that is useful to F1 followers Go to the FIA site http://www.fia.com/sport/championships/news/formula-1-world-championship Select the race you are interested in http://www.fia.com/championship/events/fia-formula-1-world-championship/2014/chinese-grand-prix Click on event and timing information http://www.fia.com/championship/fia...hip/2014/chinese-grand-prix-event-information select the âTechnical Reportsâ and they will list, amongst other things, the information you require. I use it it quite a lot especially the technical reports, the stewards reports and the timing info.
I think tha would be interesting..I think the Mercs haven't changed any so far and they might make their first change in the next Grand Prix.. I heard someone say the Red Bulls made two so far but I don't know if that is true.
Yes, I was wondering why they would want to publish that so early too... Because if he is still having a bad run after that then...that will be much more pressure on him. I also dont like the idea of Mclaren publishing ever race that they are bringing these million upgrades and parts next race and then falling backwards. It makes them look foolish...then Jenson Button saying I don't know what McLaren is doing, because they are going backwards. The need to keep quiet and wait to see if the upgrades work first then shout out.
BLS posted a chart on a past race thread which showed everything to engines, gearbox changes to penalty points etc etc. I don't know where he got it from
So Anderson believes the Toro Rosso is a better car than the McLaren? Well McLaren fans, who do you blame for this, Whitmarsh has been "dealt with" (Ron made him an offer he couldn't refuse) so surely you have to blame Ron? Also, surely the Merc has the best aero package? You can't be over 2 seconds a lap faster than anyone else just because of horsepower, especially given that the vast majority of proper tracks (not Tilke monstrosities) don't have very long straights.
Haha. If it is, it is marginal and it is only at front-limited circuits. McLaren were solid in Melbourne and Bahrain. Boullier is talking about agressive updates and that the wind tunnel indicates good performance gain. Force India are also due their big upgrade in Barcelona so the podium fight could get good. We will see.
I've never really took Gary Anderson's opinions on board, his assumptions in the past have often left him with egg on his face. Last year he said Mercedes would be title contenders before a race was completed and look how that turned out. He also said Red Bull were the team to beat this year before a race was completed despite a troubled pre season. I'd say Mercedes and Red Bull are similar in terms of cornering speeds.
While I agree with Lauda here... I dont believe him..lol Yes Lauda.. you wouldn't mind wining all the races. Mercedes: 'We don't want to win all 19 races' Wednesday 23rd April 2014, 20:19 by TF1T Staff Niki Lauda (© Daimler) In a rather odd admission, Mercedes chairman Niki Lauda says the Anglo-German outfit doesn't want to win all 19 races this season. The outfit has so far won four from four in dominant fashion, with the only challenge coming from an intra-team battle between Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton. But Lauda says it would be bad for F1 and it would see the sport in new ground, though both Ferrari and McLaren have come close. In 2004 Ferrari took 15 of the 18 wins on offer, whilst McLaren dominated the 1988 season to win all but one. It's not something the Austrian would like to see happen. "We do not want to win all the races," he told Blick. "It definitely wouldn't be good for Formula 1." However Lauda fully expects Mercedes' rivals to catch-up and apply some pressure later in the season, once the engine advantage has faded. "What we are going through now is the harvest of many months of work, particularly in the area of the turbo engine," he added. "But we do not think the current situation is normal. Our opponents will certainly be getting stronger."
Fans wont watch the rest of the season if they know it's already over after 6 races. Brawn was only tolerated because it was somebody like Force India getting a march on Ferrari and McLaren with Sauber being the next best. This is Mercedes and they wont allow this kind of gap to fall away and you can see Spain and Italy all turning off already.
That season got intersting after half way when Brawn got swamped by RBR and Mclaren as well. Only hope for this year is others can catch up in the same way.
This car was designed in 2013 by a team that mostly Martin Whitmarsh had put into place and were still under his stewardship. That said it's not a "bad" car, just not a very fast one around some circuits with it's front end weakness. Judge it on it's development over the season though IMO. It's already a more successful car than their last effort anyway
Finally watched the race Particularly enjoyed horners and Vettels post race acting, kidding no one chaps Fairly dull race tbh, total control from Hamilton, muck up with telemetry helping for Rosberg, impressive finally from alonso. Was starting to wonder if he'd lost his spark! Red Bull infighting possibly saved his podium but we'll never know. Could have been a controversy if Ricciardo passed him on the fake last lap lol. 4/10 race for me, lots of strong individual performances but not much racing.
I stand by what I believe, in as much that Red Bull have been cheating for a few years now with their aero dynamics some how, I dont know how and neither do the FIA, but they were. Furthermore I would absolutely love to see Hamilton and Vettel in the same team, bring it on. Incidentally Webber is not in the same league as either of the aforementioned. I apologize for the delay in my reply but have been a tad busy at work. Been busy exceeding the European working time directive, but that's another bloody story.
