It would of course be great to have qualified for Europe before the FA Cup Final but if it means cheering on Arsenal and praying they finish 4th id rather not qualify that way at all.

Why is anyone bothered about Arsenal getting CL or not, worrying about whether we qualify for Europe. We should be thinking about winning the cup, not whether we'll have days out in Latvia or Greece. If we don't win the cup then I hope Everton get 4th so we don't end up wasting time with **** like that.

Why? It's a means to an end. What if we were in a relegation scrap with a team who was playing some other team you didn't like. Wouldn't you want the team you didn't like to win then?

I'd quite like us competing in the Europa League. I don't think we are too precious to look down our noses at it.

If we win the FA Cup do you want us to refuse to enter?

If we get in europe by losing the cup then expect our season to start in june <bandit>

Obviously not like

Arsenal Remaining Games:

us (Away)
Newcastle (Home)
West Brom (Home)
Norwich (Away)

Everton:

Crystal Palace (Home)
Man Utd (Home)
Southampton (Away)
Man City (Home)
Us (Away)

Going out on a limb, I predict 10 more points for Arsenal, and 8 for Everton.

I knew Everton had a tough run in, but I didn't realise quite how much easier Arsenal's was(at least on paper).

That's not what I'm saying. I'm pissed off with people hoping Arsenal get 4th so that we can be in Europe, so they're assuming that we'll lose the final. People seem to be obsessed with getting into Europe through this back door.
I'm saying if we don't win the cup then I don't give a flying **** about Europe. Obviously if we win it then I'll look forward to our European adventures.

But that's like saying I don't care about staying up if we stay up due to those below us not winning enough games

Once again, NOT what I'm saying. I'm just pissed off with this facination with the EL instead of just wanting to win the cup & then take it from there!

Another factor is if we DO qualify for the Europa League as FA Cup runners-up we'll have to play a qualifying game in July/August.

If we go in as winners we're straight into the group stage which starts in September (unless the rules change for next season).

Plus as winners of the Cup we get to play in the Charity Shield against the PL winners.
