Bristol fans. You get crap crowds in an old stadium

Your new one isn't even approved yet with the decision announced this month. So wind your necks in over that:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_City_Stadium

We've been in the Prem in the last decade and won a league cup in the last 15 years. We've played in Europe during this period as well. We've had 2 pf England's most iconic England goalkeepers play for us. One of the best England strikers of all time and currently sit in a 32,500 stadium 5 years from being paid off.

There there, nothing to be too jealous of, now go a rattle around some empty Ashton Gate seats!!

Hahaha almost forgot. You brought 5,500 fans to the Walkers for an FA Cup games just a few years back. I remember seeing coach after coach. Thing is your fans that day were saying it was a "Big scalp" away cup game. Hahaha, just remembered.....

Just looked Bristol fans. Burnley FC a town with 80,000 people had 300 more on average than you "Big City" boys. Pretty pathetic for a "Big Club" eh? Dear oh dear....

"Your new one isn't even approved yet with the decision announced this month. So wind your necks in over that"

It was announced last week! :emoticon-0112-wonde

Blimey talksport. Why didn't you say that in the first place, I'd have given up then and there --- They just think the same as what we think about you, but you crack on and consider yourselves a 'big club' mate if it makes you feel better!

You're only just out of league one!

We have heard all this Billy big Bollocks from Cardiff, what division are they in next season?

Personally, I dont think you're going anywhere and If I was nicky Maynard You wouldn't be anywhere near my radar.

Come up with the right money and hey who knows?

Wow we spend 1 year in league 1 out of 127 years and that makes us a league 1 club. We even won it then.

How many years have Bristol spent in league 1. We have spent more years in the prem then both Bristol clubs and the whole of wales put together. Not arrogant. Just facts

"But telling us over and over again does not make it anymore true"

Nor does you repeatedly saying he will, make it anymore true!

"big scalp" <laugh> we've had it so many times lately we've made a rug out of it!

While you're rattling on about bookies odds,

We signed David James last year and Had Coppell as manager, we were also up in the favourites for a little while, means nothing!

Difference is James is 40 and crap. Sven has money and is a better manager then Coppell and Sven has been here for 2/3 of a season and knows the squad and divison.

So i fail to see any similarities between us and you

Sven Goran Eriksson.....The last 10 years....

2001–2006 England
2007–2008 Manchester City
2008–2009 Mexico
2009/10 Notts County
2010 Côte d'Ivoire
2010– Leicester City

Managed a lot in 10 years and won nothing, obviously passed his prime, but a nice guy all the same...

No, You're a massive club obviously. <laugh><laugh><laugh>

We'll see where he goes and speak again, but thanks for being the bit part player (albeit a bit ambitious) in what will become a bidding war.

You could build a 200000 all seater stadium in the West Country and it would still be empty because there is no real football tradition. Just a few deluded die hards and many, many 'football fans' with a subscription to Sky Sports.

We've had this with Plymouth in the past. Where are they now?

When was the last time Bristol City was in the prem? When was the last time Bristol won something?

Yeah MASSIVE club.

Results last season, you beat us at your place 2-1,we beat you at our place 2-0..

So what, both good clubs and we both know it...

You've got nothing to crow about just sit back and enjoy your club and see what they can achieve in 2011...

We're not making ourselves out to be a massive club, just answering your accusations honestly!

We'll see how big a club you are when Maynard decides where to go!

You're confidence seems to have waned a little since the start of this thread. <doh>

Hang on a minute, since when did we have an issue with BCFC and since when did they have an issue with us - Both cracking clubs with great support. Ok so Sven may have put in a bid for Maynard, who can blame him he's a good player, so BCFC have turned it down, who can blame them, he's a good player- Let the management sort that out. It's not our argument <ok>

That is a cracking good statement Danger Fox and may I agree with you,2 good clubs and supporters, all the best, except of course when we play each other...

Yes Cardiff, a small Club. Now you're hearing it from Leicester, a big Club. So you should just take it.

I don't think you'd be bothering with us if you weren't the least bit worried we'd be taking your striker of you.

And fortunately for Maynard I don't think he's a ****ing ****** like you obviously are, so he won't be taking your advice on what Clubs are going places.

From FoxesTalk:

Also, seen that one of the Bristol City Fans have noticed a change in wording of their Chairman's statement on their OS.

From:
We are not in the business of selling our best players and we would certainly not sell to another Championship club.

To:
We are not in the business of selling our best players and we would certainly not wish to sell to another Championship club

Suggests something may have changed in them few hours?

Another change in their statement too, went from being 'confident' he would sign a new contract, to only 'hopeful'.

Interesting...

This translates to

Nicky Maynard has handed in a transfer requests and wants to sign for Leicester. We dont want to sell but their isnt alot we can do about. We have already replaced him with a Rotherham striker
