Look at no point have I said Maynard will not be sold this summer! In fact I have said on numerous occasions he probably will. (in this thread for the hard of thinking!)

It just wont be to you for £2m.

Admit it, you're scared he will go to us, you know it's possible, you couldn't possibly know that it's not, if it's not.

I know very well that if the Bristol City board was full of 'we're signing Andy King', I wouldn't be mouthing off about how that would never happen. Mainly because, I wouldn't need to.

You obviously feel the need to release your nervous energy.

No it won't.

Might be to us for £3.5 million though. Might be us for £4 million. maybe even £5 million, if it takes that much.

Like I've been saying, if we want to spend £5 miillion (if being the key word) or whatever price it is, we can. And if we offer that much you may well take it.

This reminds me of the Fryatt saga, Leicester fans were all saying he's worth over £3m and we won't sell him for any less. He'd had 2 impressive seasons and had a reasonably long contract as well.

He went to Hull for £1.2m.
 
Emilio just hit the nail on the head their. Bristol back tracking statements. Their fans worried

Why did Bristol annouce it in the first place. Seems odd unless they want a bidding war for him

Don't see how that's relelvant. Just because we haven't put in a bid already it doesn't mean we won't out in the all important one.

Besides it was clearly us, for days before we've been hearing 'LCFC are preparing a bid for Maynard etc', then you reject a bid from a Championship Club. Reliable sources on twitter claim it was us too.

I ask Bristol City Fans again:

How can you call yourself a "Big Club" when a small town in Lancashire with just over 80,000 people living there get BIGGER crowds than you?

Just think about it. Just 80,000 people. Smaller than Bath and get bigger crowds than Big Bristol City.

When you fill your stadium we'll compare traditions and support base again.
