Aye but all a 5under1and player needs to do is buy a bag of chips on byker high street to be classed a Geordie and hated for life by them... (see Nomoregeordies)

You make a good point there.
I'm hoping he improves as a player but will no doubt get Pardewed.

I'd take him. I think he is decent. And he'll work hard which is exactly what we need.

The fact that he is one of us adds more bite as he'll connect with the fans.

I think that a lot of the problem is pressure on rapid development.
Luckily with Colback, SAFC have been our feeder club which is about right on the balance of things given our consistent superiority as North East top dogs...........................

I think he'd be a good addition to the squad. Not a first team starter but a good squad filler. The problem will come if he's your replacement for Cabaye <laugh>. If he is the replacement for Gosling then I'd be ok with it. Tidy player who I think would give us 110% everytime he pulls on the shirt. You need a few of those in your squad, and being blunt, we don't have many at present.

Not for me! Lets face it, he can't hold down a place in a relegation threatened team so he's hardly setting the world alight.

Nail on the head. The problem is with MA in charge life is like a box of chocolates... When everyone has had their pick and only the coffee flavours are left.

No brainer for me. Our squad is very small and lacks heart and he'd improve both aspects of this.

He's meant to be a boyhood fan so straightaway you'd assume he'd give his all in each and every game. Secondly, an injury to Tiote or Anita and our options in DM are then Bigi, M'biwa or Gosling. He's better than all three in that position so it's an improvement to the squad with no transfer fee involved.

Think you're being a bit unfair to Bigi but otherwise spot on

Basically I see him as perfect competition for Anita. That busy box to box tidy passer we need alongside a Tiote and a creator. We also need some back up for Grenier if he is indeed the man. I would suggest a move for that little genius from Dundee Utd. Only 18, his name escapes me for a second.................ah yes Ryan Gauld. I'd also be grateful if he could bring his manager along Jackie McNamara who plays an exciting brand of attacking football and concentrates on youth. Bigi can then back up Tiote.

You shouldn't joke fella, you know Fat Mike is like.

He'll never be any more than a squad player. Does like the ball on the deck though, a good tidy option on the bench.

Don't worry I'm not joking but after 5 years of Mike we have developed a thick skin and good sense of humour with regard to our transfer policy.

    Its just easier.

Look this guy is ****, he plays for Sunderland who most likely will be relegated and he is ginger. That is the triple threat of why we shouldn't have him here.

No team should have more than one ginger - we have two already in Richardson and Campbell - we cannot possibly have another - there must be a rule in some old dusty cobwebbed FA manual in the vaults somewhere saying 'No team may have more than two ginger players on their books at one time.' If this is ignored we may get docked points.

Your team would be terrible in the early games and late games in the season, when the sun is out.

I think you are being harsh saying he is ****. Even if he is they would want to keep him if they were relegated, so for that reason alone it would be funny to sign him. Nowt like toe punting the mackems when they are down, you know this. I too would be concerned about over burdening ourselves with ginger, but Campbell is likely to be farmed out on loan and Richardson sold for new pencils for Mikes office. Therefore we could be left with no ginger which is incredibly dangerous for team morale. Who would be the figure of fun? Particularly if the fat jokes stop when HBA goes. Shola will be gone so no more laughing at the unsteady giraffe.

I don't think you've fully thought this through.

Colback is **** though... Can't get a look in for Sunderland, wouldn't get a look in for us... If we didn't have Anita, I could see the point of the lad as back-up, but seriously, we need better options, not more ****e that sits on the bench drawing a wage and looking blankly at Pardew as he thinks he's briefly being considered to change the game, only to realise cross-eyed Pards is eyeing up Shola again... Of course.
