We have never claimed we had majority support. We said we didn't know and the matter should be put to a vote of season tickets holders. When we raised it in November Assem Allam said he wasn't going to have one. It was only when the FA committee recommended rejection he thought it a good idea, but he added the I'll walk away unless you vote for it. The only reason he'd have done that was because he thought he'd lose the vote. Despite threatening to walk away, two full page ads in the HDM he got a majority of less than 50. I'd say he's got a problem, whether he sees it like that I doubt.

Not strictly true.

Are we a majority? Well, since Dr Allam refused our request to hold a ballot of all season ticket holders to democratically determine what Hull City supporters as a whole want, we can’t prove that for certain. Odd that, given that he’s so certain we’re a tiny minority – if he’s so confident, why not call our bluff and shut us up? But every poll conducted so far suggests that our view is the majority view – including the Official Supporters Club poll, despite the fact it was carried out immediately after Dr Allam threatened to “walk away” from the club

Wait, it's another outright lie. You now know for certain you're representing a minority, bluff called, will you shut up now? No, of course you won't. Threaten one thing, do another.

I have said since the first time that CTID was sung at 19.04 that unless those around me are engaged in the debate then there is little chance of the campaign having enough support to make a difference.

The campaign raised awareness in the media, with the FA and amongst other supporters. But it failed to engage with the majority of season ticket holders.

This is evidenced by the silence of the majority. Silence at 19.04 from them, silence in casting a vote, silence when they walked past the march from the West Park gate.

There has not been any evidence to show that the silent majority want the name change or not. Only 3750 voted in the HDM poll.

What the season pass ballot clearly shows, without any doubt is that the number of season pass holders against the name change is roughly the same as it has been right from the start.

Assem Allam will be able to say to the FA that he can demonstrate that there is around 10% of the gate who are not in favour of the name change.

I totally agree that the ballot was warped. The loading of the questions was wrong. But it was known as long ago as October last year what the question would be. Those who purport to have strong links with the club must have known.

I posted a thread about three legged donkeys a few weeks ago. I know now which donkey will be the favourite to cross the line first. Say hello to the "Season pass membership scheme", trainer Assem Allam, ridden by Ehab Allam and housewifes favourite.

Next will we see the revenge of Assem Allam, moving E1 and E2?

No more statements until after the semi-final says the man that never goes back on his word.<doh>

.Check out his CV

There is little hope held in the FA ratifying that tomorrow, having already seen their Membership Committee give a "unanimous recommendation" to reject the change, but the results have strengthened their resolve to continue fighting.

****ing great. <doh>

In a poll of all season ticket holders over the age of 16, with 15,033 invited to participate, the vote fell narrowly in favour of a change to Hull Tigers with the Allam family remaining in charge.

2,565 voted "Yes to Hull Tigers with the Allam family continuing to lead the club"

2,517 voted "No to Hull Tigers"

792 voted "I am not too concerned and will continue to support the club either way"

9,159 season-ticket holders failed to take up their invite to vote.

Where is your VOTE OF CONFIDENCE, old man?

Campaign group City Till We Die, who were formed to protect the name of Hull City AFC, is drawing no meaningful conclusions from a poll that saw over 9,000 supporters decline to take part.

Spokesperson Mark Gretton said: "We're not at all disappointed. We're only disappointed in the way it's been handled.

"We can't see why it wasn't a straight choice between yes and no to Hull Tigers. Had that been the case, as we have seen in every other poll, I'm sure it would have been against the change.

"We're pleased at how many season ticket holders still said no. It's a significant per centage of supporters who are against Hull Tigers, even when the options are loaded in favour of the owners. This has never been an anti-Allam campaign but one to keep our name.

"The matter is in the hands of the FA now and we await their verdict. We're still very hopeful that they will reject the proposal."

I read that too. Tomorrow really should be the death knell of the whole fiasco. Sadly, I don't think that will be the case and the mad old bugger will fight for it until he's blue in the face.

**** sake it's like a playground on here. All this in a week before a cup semi final and a day after the death of a club legend. The sooner tomorrow's decision is announced, the better!

I agree with you.

Problem is, I tried having a mature debate yesterday about the whole sorry state but many of the boards trolls, clowns, immature little ****s wanted to start throwing insults around and **** stirring rather than bringing anything positive to the debate. So today I declare this pay back day, I can play their game and I'll give it back to em.

What is sad is that 'HullCityAFC' doesn't see the irony in his choice of forum name....

What is SAD is that you failed to read my post yesterday that stated "I see both sides of the argument and I'm not at all bothered if we remain as Hull City".

Let me rephrase that, I am happy to remain as Hull City AFC.

You didn't debate though. You offered views that people pointed out errors with, so you got upset. Hurling teddies isn't debate.
