Morning all from a dry but chilly Jersey. I was awake ridiculously early compared to when my alarm was due to go off but it has meant that I've been able to do a couple of jobs around the house that I was going to do after work.

Ak, thanks for the tea.

Interesting that the Forest owner seems not to be able to get any of his targets so far. I wonder if that's because he wants them to start now but they would prefer to wait until after the season is over? If you're going to sack a manager at this stage of the season, do as Portsmouth have done and say that the caretaker manager will be in place until the end of the season, which removes any uncertainty as to when a new manager will be coming in.

Morning all!

it's unbelievable Barry - they had a decent chance of top 6 and this appears to have been a knee jerk reaction based on a hammering form local rivals. With Davies in place they may still have made the play offs. With no manager in place and the distinct whiff of real unrest at the club you'd want very long odds on that happening now. More to the point, what manager worth his salt would go there now? Davies hasn't done a bad job and even allowing for his interesting character traits this decision, at such a crucial stage of the season seems positively nuts.

Reykjavík is to have elections soon and the Pirate Party is losing support. The poll of opinions still gives more support to them than the Green Party who are of the left side opinion. The normal politacal groups will win as they nearly always do.

Morning all. Bright and sunny here without any rain forecast.

So Leeds were unable to pay their players today. It seems that the 'Investment Bank' that owns them cannot get anyone to stump up a loan. They must be getting close to administration again, and there is little for them to sell as they don't own ER or the training ground and they have sold on the ST revenue already. With the Italian being turned down by the football league it is difficult to see where they go from here.

Prison for debtors.

Thanks for the coffee ak. The "Pirate Party" of Iceland conjures up the image of a one-legged man, with a parrot on his shoulder, standing on a sled shouting:

"Ah-ha me hearties! Mush, mush!"

Some guy on 3CR tonight said he was disappointed with Watford as he thought we should have scored six. <doh>

My son had the misfortune this afternoon to visit Elland Road. Free tickets as his son was involved in some way. Reckons that if he turns his pockets out and looks down the side of the sofa, he could own the club shortly. ;)

One of their most ardent fans said on twitter that that was the worst Leeds side he had ever seen!
