I was walking through Bond Street tube yesterday and there were a load of Steptoes getting the interchange for the Central line. Half of them looked like extras out of night of the living dead......must be all the heroin they need to get them through the trauma of visiting loftus road every fortnight.
Afternoon all from a bright and sunny bandit country, great result yesterday made all the better for the pikey's losing and QPHa struggling against a very poor side. I have managed to get all the W_Y brood together to take Mrs W_Y out for lunch. She is just going to pick up her old Dad who is joining us as well. Difficult day today, it's Mothers Day and the 1st anniversary of Mrs W_Y's Mum's passing - so there will be a few tears along the way today. Love and best wishes to all Mum's...they may have left some of us, but they will always be in our hearts.
Good day here although it is not Mothering Sunday. All four of our offspring remembered their mother and treated her as she deserves. The local florist believes that the English males are far more romantic than the French men because they celebrate both the English and French mothers day and she makes a bit more profit. The elections have continued here today and it would appear that the socialists have received a huge kicking. All very different to an English election with the polls closing at 6, 7 or 8 pm. The Conservatives have made big gains, but they are not sure if they should get Sarkosy back to lead them. He lost, just, to Holland, but he still has a large following. The national front are making gains, but not as large as they would hope for. It seems as if they are getting most of their additional votes from the extreme left who do not really want to vote for the socialists but will not vote for the centre right. All a bit like some areas of the UK where a vote for the right is silly and a vote for the left is only done because that is what you always do.

She has knocked their new house about and it is now time to start re-building. Flooring boards are required, so somehow I am involved.

I can say I do not understand French political system with many votes to decide the outcome and one political party who leader is the daughter of the last leader. Is that what the revolution was supposed to stop. To make the nation a political meritocracy and take away the family handing from parent to child. Why is a vote in Britain for the conservatives silly? If they have ideas like yours you vote for them. It is the same as voting for the socialists because that is what you do. The parties should be looked at for what they do not because of how you have always thought they behave. I know political groups will say anything to get power but if they do not present what they say they will do you unelect them next time you hasve an opportunity.
