On the way home from work, yesterday, I got a text from Mrs NZ saying that she was at the beach with the children so instead of going up the hill to our home I went to the chip shop to pick up dinner, which we ate sitting by the sand. The weather was sunny and warm. it was a perfect autumnal evening. It is times like that that I realise why I live here rather than the east end of London, my previous home.
