I know it's frustrating when somebody doesn't list a source but hopefully past posting reputation/never ever posting an unfounded rumour will vouch for my credibility.

Thought I'd share it anyway and I'd say it's certainly not ironic that sources can't be named but pretty natural when you consider implications etc
 
I can't believe we would let Shaw go unless Targett is ready to replace him, and he hasn't even been on the bench in a cup game so far, unless my memory has failed me.

Targett is a good player but not ready. I can not see Shaw going as he is happy here. We do not want to sell him and from what I know have had no phone calls since the end of the transfer window. I can't see him leaving unless it is a crazy high figure.
 
If we were to sell shaw this summer is the best time. His stock is incredibly high atm and virtually every big club will be after a LB this summer. Cannot see Chelsea, Utd, Liverpool and possibly City getting to the end of the summer window without signing a LB. If Shaw is their no 1 target for the position then we could get a ridiculous sum for him.

Not that I am saying sell, just that if we were to then this summer seems the perfect time.
 
However, I don't think it will be necessarily best for Luke. He is still very young...at least one more season surrounded by people who love him could be the best. If things go wrong at another club who have probably paid a huge sum for him and it could all turn out very nasty. Mauricio says you have to let youngsters make mistakes and learn from them...how understanding would our fans be if we'd paid 30 million for him.

Yeah I think we could probably squeeze about 25m out of him, I'd not necessarily be against that.
 
Watford have signed former Liverpool player Reira on a short term deal.

Pompey are trying to sign Jamie O'Hara on a emergency loan.

I just can't really think of any realistic replacements who would cut it though.
