What makes a striped shirt excellent? I honestly can't tell the difference between that and any other Stoke kit ever, as with the vast majority of striped shirts it looks okay. Away kit is nice though.

I guess Stoke are sticking to their "core identity" by having almost the exact same home kit. Fans will still buy the latest version, so why do clubs (not just Saints) feel the need to **** about with changes just for the sake of change?

Bollocks to stripes coming back and I now prefer the mono-chrome badge. Viva la revolution!

I keep banging this drum, but please can we have a modern version of the Air Florida kit, respects heritage without making me strain my eyes to see if it's us, Sunderland or Stoke up next on MOTD.

Reverse colours of this please, Adidas already make it for Ajax, so keep the template, switch the colours around, jobs a goodun.

I like that. As it is, without reversing the colours. Ajax have a history of decent kits.

I've quickly [and crappily, but you get the idea] altered a proposed [Saints Web] shirt to much more the way I'd like it. Much more Rank Xerox/Air Florida, meaning slightly more red in my idea of the ideal, but leaving off the fiddly bits out of the cuffs and neck. Of course if I could also get rid of the Addidas emblem and put the club badge at the centre that would be even better.

In these enligtened days of openess and communication between the powers that be and the fanbase and the willingness to honour the history and traditions of our great club, I think it would be a fantastic gesture for the club to run a poll prior to the selection of next season's kit. It certainly worked for Torquay Utd, their fans were given a choice of 6 designs with the resultant winning effort being one of the most popular ever.
I would love a return of the Keegan era kit but if it is to be stripes then my choice would be this one from 1989-90....

I like the stripes outlined in black which makes it different from other striped lits

We used to do that. They would parade the strips around the ground at before the game. I'm sure I even voted once!

I want the xerox shirt but not with the monotone badge. I like the colourful happy cheerful one. always have and always will (unless a better one comes along) either that or stripes for me :) With black shorts.

There's a massive C&A in Lisbon too. Missus dragged me in there. They think its posh???? Bloody expensive compared to other similar style 'dept' stores in Portugal

Hmn. Very few football fans over the age of 35 should be seen in public wearing a replica shirt. Still got my Air Florida one (not an original), but it looked a lot better on Kevin Keegan.

Went looking for a different picture to the usual of KK in the Air Florida/Rank Xerox shirt [and there are one or two], but came across this rare pic of him in the promotion shirt:

Note, the badge has no black area to highlight the club name, and of course, the ball on the badge is old style.
