Yeah the fact he was right back on his feet kind of indicates he didn't bloody dive.. not sure how you can call it a dive if he doesn't stay down as it defeats the whole purpose.

He fell over, he got up, the lino didn't seem to react, but the ref gave it despite zero appeals I saw. We then gave them a sporting chance but letting the goalie pull off a cracking save, but Rosie was alert to this and banged it in.

His nans from Ull.

Ref looked a bit clueless to me tbh, he seemed to get a few decisions wrong, but, for a nice change, he didn't seem to favour one side, he was just generall ****e and we won.

S'important thing.

No chance that was a dive. He fell over, got up and got a soft penalty. He didn't arch his back, throw his arms in the air and scream like divers do. He didn't deliberately drop to his knees like Boyd last week. He just fell, rolled onto his feet and got straight up.

We had at least one more obvious penalty anyway. There's should also have been a pen imo.

I don't think Long dived, I think he just fell over.

It's ironic that we got a really soft penalty, but Meyler(who normally falls over), stayed on his feet when he could easily have won one and Sagbo definitely should have had one.

Not having it. I cant call the ****s on telly every week then have one of our own do it. Telly may prove me wrong form some odd angle but to me he shamelessly threw himself to the ground.
The WBA fans gave you a cracking round of applause, now hatred.

Sour taste in the mouth as valuable as the points were.

Seemed to instigate a spate of every ****er throwing himself to the ground.

Meyler did get clipped in the box but tried to stay on his feet before throwing himself to the floor as an afterthought. Then went to the corner flag and threw himself over for a free kick.

I bet you threw yourself off the settee in protest.

Didn't look like a penalty from where we were but Long didn't go to ground and claim for it as I saw it. How can that be him cheating? It wasn't reet pretty to watch but we got a big 3 points. Bit low oppo fans waiting for Long and giving him abuse. Not classy at all.

I've not seen the replays (I try to judge decisions in real time first time unless the replays show the ref had a distinctly different view) but I thought he fell over then got up and tried to play on. Was shocked when the ref gave it, not just for the decision but because of how long it took. The reaction after he went down should have been something that convinced him not to give it rather than give it, so to do it after taking that time must mean he was pretty sure he'd seen a foul in the first place. In which case, why did it take so long to give it? He surely wasn't thinking that a player going from inside the penalty area to outside it with no support in immediate attendance was ever a position where you could play advantage (the advantage would have to be something better than a penalty)? There were a few times in the game where he changed his mind about things 5 seconds or so after the event. Goal kicks that became corners, throw-ins awarded the opposite way, stuff like that.

I need to see the Long one properly in slow motion, as I'm still not sure what contact there was (if any) and whether it was with his own leg or the defender's. But he did get straight up and carry on - it's not as if he appealed for the penalty (like Boyd did).

Watching on TV in slow motion it seemed as if his leg caught Dawson's standing leg and shouldn't have been a penalty but it wasn't a dive.

There were two clear cut penalties, though - Morrison and Sagbo.

Long didn't claim a penalty - he got up and carried on playing. He was probably as surprised as anyone when the ref pointed to the spot

I thought it was a pen at the game and the replays aren't really conclusive one way or the other.

I did think Elmo's dive at 0 0 when he went down holding his face was embarrassing.
