Reported today that we have kicked off a bidding war with a 10 mil offer for Connor Whickham, I would love to see us get him but..

I can hear all those who called Bruce and Quinn for selling our young player and sending out the wrong message saying, ****ing Bruce, he does not have a clue, 10 mil for a young, untried, English player.

Like all gossip time will tell but if true, think it may well be, I hope that now we have shown our hand we go flat out to get the lad signed up.
 
Said it before, we should have struck a deal when Keane was there. We could have unloaded some of our players more suited to fizzypop standards (paying their wages too!) and done a swap deal.

10 million for Connor Wickham? - I'd be very happy with that
 
but the fact is he is untried in the premiership but when i think almost ever premier league manager went to an ipswich to see him last year £10m isnt bad he is a proper phisical preasence
 
I've no doubt in 3 years time, his value will be more than double that.
Out of all the targets we have been linked with, he is the one that gets me most excited.

My thoughts exactly, have a max, bearing in mind we sold a midfielder for 20 mil and you pay a premium for strikers but add in prem experience. Go to that max putting pressure on for answer and sign him or move, I hope we sign.

Besides the odd one or two have been worried about him being untried.

im not going to lighten up when i think how wigan were going to buy him on a player exchange last year but didnt want to also did anyone see him against the arsenal there premierhip standered and he looked quite good for someone just 17
