I've a few mates in Suffolk and they all rate wickham very highly; I'd love to see him in Red and White stripes as long as it doesn't mean going back to hoofball.
Would be a decent purchase but, not for anything more than 10mil I think we can get better for that amount. We don't have the luxury of time to try and bed in a young player in the PL that's why we will probably go for experienced players who, in theory should hit the ground running. If we do get Whickham then he'll be used sparingly at first which means hopefully that Gyan is going nowhere.
I bloody hope so. Id be willing to pay 7million at a push, because I doubt his wages would be ridiculous, but 10million (Which is increasingly looking like the MINIMUM anyone will have to pay) is just plain stupid.
Personally I can't see us getting this lad - I'm sure ole Saggy Chops Rednapp will express an interest any time......!
the same applies to the spuds though they are awash with strikers, and the new rules they can only have 25 so he wouldn't get a start for them, i know his age means they don't count him, but spuds are strong in all departments, plus they may need a modric replacement.
actualy most people actually rate him about £15m so i think £10m is a steal also someone said something about hoofball he has good fett and plays on the ground
Gunners have expressed an interest, as have Liverpool in the last window or two (and us). I can see Liverpool throwing some cash at him.
they also got 50 from torres though, so they have only really spent 25. as for Wickham seems like a decent player, and a one, one of the big teams will go in for and blood for the future, thing is though this Chamberlain from Southampton seems to be going as well, so i would say Arsenal for 1 or the other, cant see them getting both, so we may have a chance with Wickham (if they want Chamberlain more)
