Why do you want him to stay? You're the sort of idiot who if offered Giroud or Henry, would pick Giroud.

3 year contract isn't too much to ask IMO, considering he is the most consistent player in our squad throughout the years. In excellent physical shape, and is the best full-back on the pitch in 99% of the games he plays in.

Totally. He can also fill in at CB which will be ideal when he loses a bit of his pace. Pay the man.

If we lose Sagna it's going to be a major **** up and weakening of the team, this isn't a time to start weakening the team, but strengthening, let's not do that same bullshit we've seen over the years when we looked to have a strong team to build on for next season, but then came along the summer and we lost some key players. Sagna has been a key part to our excellent defence this season, he's one of the best RB's in the league and Europe, and has been one of our most consistent players, just give him the bloody contract.

It's really important we give Sagna a new deal. However the season turns out, fa cup win or league position, we want our team to be a settled unit going into next season. We have a great platform to build on havng done well this season. We have a good group of players and with a couple of top additions we can be right back up competing for the big silverware on a consistent basis. We seem to have overcome the difficulties of the last couple of seasons and are back to needing just those couple of World Class players to have a special team.

Losing any of our key players would be a step backwards at a time we are ready to move forwards finally.

If we lose Sagna we will need to spend a lot to get a good enough replacement. I could live with it if we get in someone of the required quality but id much rather we keep Sagna. He has been part of our most solid back 4 in a long time and is one of our experienced heads in the squad. I want to keep our back 4 together.

We really should be offering him a new contract. He has consistently been one of our best defenders and is one of the best right backs in Europe. To buy someone as good as him would cost us over at least £15m+. Not worth the headache, especially when we have Jenks as backup.

£20m plus prob £100k per week wages is a bit ott for a 30 yr old.

Pretty sure we could buy a top quality player for that kind of money who is a lot younger.

I think the £20m figure works out as the total inc his wages and sign on fee. Over three years.

It's rumoured to be 90k per week with a 6mil signing on bonus paid in annual installments across the 3 years. So it's not that ott to be fair.

agree sign him up. that way we stop being a seller club losing our top players on free transfers.

we want to keep our best players and then add to them NOT lose them and have to replace them
