Amazing, really. The mags are chuffed we lost (fair enough - I'd hate them to win something), but this bellend thinks Pardew nutting someone is a good thing. The fall-out from that one will be interesting. Is "showing metal" (sic) a defence?

But I for one am hugely proud of how we played. We fought for a trophy. City just bought it. We were undone by two fantastic pieces of skill, but until then showed every sign of having a chance of winnning that game. Better to have fought and lost than not to have fought at all...

No. He was only "trying to push him away with my head", apparently <laugh>

Bit like the horse-puncher's "self defence" claim....

What about the time he swore at Pellegrini, squared up to MON, pushed the lino...?

Alan Pardew "I was trying to push him away with my head."

That's a bit like a rapist saying "I was trying to push her away with my c*ck."

I watched the match with a mag, 3/4 hours I could spend away from the missus, had many a ticket offered but I'm afraid my family come 1st. I don't think anyone is going to take a sad **** Newcastle fan seriously tonight, it was our day today, they don't have them and we might even do the honeymoon in the FA Cup as well so take your black and white ****e, scarf, Wonga shirt and stick it as far up your hairy backside as Mike Ashley allows. Sad ****ers..Piss Off..

Agree with everything you say Sid, apart from them buying it. City haven't done anything different that no other other big team has done over the last 20-30 years.

Opinions, mate. Mine are that they were in the third tier not so long ago, but now they've spent £300M on their squad. That's buying it to me, same as Chelsea bought theirs.

You haven't done anything that Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea or Arsenal haven't done over the last 20 odd years. That's why I don't have a problem with you guys winning today. Good luck luck to you guys. Hope you get a result against Bayern Munich.

I don't have a problem with City doing it, after all, we wouldn't bitch if it was us. But when you look at the line-up City put out, together with what they had on the bench, it's amazing we gave them as hard a game as we did.

We settled quicker. They looked a bundle of nerves for the first 20 minutes. All those millions spent on quality don't count for jack-**** if they don't settle into a big game early on. As it is, they got their early (spectacular) second half goal and once they'd got that, it gave them the confidence that had been missing for the first 45 minutes.
