I am sure we would be happy to do the same. In fact on a smaller scale we have, without Shorts money (and Quinnys consortium before him) we would be in the fizzy pop league or worse.
How any Mag can have the nerve to gloat is beyond me. Fair enough they're glad we lost, I'd find it unbearable if they ever managed to win anything, though thanks to Mike Ashley there's little chance of that happening. But at least we got to Wembley and had some fantastic, memorable nights on the way, like beating Chelsea and United. Those are the moments that stay with you, not meaningless mid-table games against Villa. Add to that the fact that we comprehensively destroyed them, on their own turf, for the second year in a row, and they really do have sh*te all to gloat about. Noticed a few of them taking the piss out of the young kids for crying at the end of the game today, very classy. They weren't laughing last month, funnily enough: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feFbu39U1-o So proud to be a Mackem tonight and not one of those horse-punching, Greggs-munching, headbutting pikey pricks.
Good for you! As long as you did your best, fair play! It just wasn't good enough! City didn't just buy it at all. Ok, they have spent a lot of money BUT that does not make them a TEAM. They have fought just as hard as your boys did today. A little less on the sour grapes eh? ...and no, I'm not chuffed you lost! I'm relieved, as your gloating would have been horrendous! You lot are bad enough after winning a derby match never mind winning a cup!
So the Nags gloat, let them. I suspect it was jealousy more than anything else, but it don't matter, the lads were there, one more game and they do it again. Let it eat the ****s up from inside., it's killing the ****ers. Mind it would be the same if it were reversed, so enjoy their torment.
I was genuinely pleased for you lot scoring and having something to enjoy for a lot of the game. Going to Wembley is a great thing win or lose. But to be honest i was relieved you did'nt win. Too much to bear the torture worse than waterboarding and probably just as illegal. It's always good to be in the limelight. Also very tough to be beaten. Not disgraced though as I thought you may have been. I would say better luck in the FA. But I would be lying. I'm sure you will all live. We up here are a bit inured to being bridesmaids.
