Good god that's terrible. It'll also mean all the barmy Americans will go on about arming citizens etc again....

 

Apparently few Chinese police are armed, which is why so many civilians got injured/killed. Not suggesting arming police though, because this kind of attack is unheard of here.

 

These types of incidents overseas fuel the NRA's rhetoric though and allow that culture of fear of the bogeyman to persist over there.

Honestly, I've not looked. I'd presume minor meltdown but nothing too serious. It certainly won't be cheery.

Normally in a situation like this I'd criticise the west for not taking proper action (e.g. Syria) but what can the west do which won't lead to nuclear war.
