Disgusting political move by a so-called Scottish company in Standard Life.
Make sure their board are first up against the wall, ST.

I've transferred my pension fund to Clerical Medical, don't want to risk my future on an unknown currency in a country controlled by the buffoon Salmond.
What's the point of you having a pension? You'll never make it to 65 (or 70 or 75 or whatever the pension age will be under future Tory governments.)
Did anyone see the two auld boots on STV debating Independence!

Didn't watch it. Heard it was a bun fight.
I see the Meeja and Culcher Secretary is warning that we wont be getting the BBC if we vote Yes. The whole debate is getting childish and depressing.
It's been childish and depressing from day 1 ...
No **** wants to give a full justification for/against independence/union to allow voters to make an informed decision.
If I had a vote and was asked by a pollster I'd say yes. If the polls got to anything over 60% in favour the no camp will **** themselves and might have to start making promises rather than threats which could be quite interesting as it would explain exactly what they have to lose if it goes in favour.......
That pretty much sums it up.

I was joking about switching my pension fund, it's been in Clerical Medical for years but I do think there is a genuine story here. 90% or so of Standard Life's business is in England. Say Scotland switches to the Euro or a new currency, who would want their pension fund invested in a foreign currency? Can see them losing a huge chunk of business unless they move some of their organisation to England.
There will be other similar stories and on the other hand, new opportunities in Scotland to take on business/civil services no longer viable in England.
All these economic scare stories are a sideshow, the real question is are you a scotch patriot (like ST) or are you content as things are?
Personally, I'm still undecided.
I don't like things as they are because it doesn't matter how Scotland votes in a General Election. We get swamped by how Nigelshire votes. Therefore, other than the devolvement Governement "allows" us we have no say in how our country is run. Under devolvement we can think we do, but it's under constraints set by a Government we didn't vote in and have no hope of voting out.
I remain undecided only because of the lack of concrete information as to what would be the shape of an independent Scotland.
