FT: Hellas Verona 2-2 Juventus Carlos Tevez put Juventus into a two-goal lead, before Luca Toni pulled one back early in the second half. Juanito equalised in the 94th minute. Osvaldo plays 28 minutes on Juventus debut. He hit the post with a chip, scored a goal that was ruled out and looked largely impressive. Osvaldo looking very keen, full of desire and urgency. Great link up with Tevez and co and working hard for the team.
Playing with other top players may restrain his ego. If Saints want to get top 6, we need to buy several top players at a time otherwise they may doubt the club's ambition to get where they want to be playing and not feel part of the team.
They're not going to pick up the option unless they are complete idiots. Just forget it even exists. If Juve decide they want him, they know they can get him for less.
Unless they change the writing on the deal, the deal is £20M if they want him permanently, or we get him back.
Here's an idea ****wad, given that this thread is the only place anything about him will be posted, don't look in here?
Yeah, **** the updates on those jonny foreigners who aren't even interested or passionate about the club because they're not English! Grrr. Newsflash - He's contracted to SFC and these performances affect what happens in the summer, I think it's fair cop. Do you moan about the Mayuka thread too, or just this one?
Mayuka was a young player that was keen to impress and from what we saw from pre-season videos he was also a fairly popular person. Osvaldo is a trouble maker. And given that no player has any particular interest him now he's gone, I don't either. As far as Dani is concerned he has already 'made it' so he can put in whatever effort he likes. But if you don't put in the effort for my club then good riddance.
It is very important to get the right players in for our team. They must have the right characteristics: talent (with potential to be better), generally young (so they can be retrained to our style, no set habits), team player mentality, and ambitious. I can see why they brought in Dani...we needed another good striker and they thought he would give us the finishing power we needed. However, he thought he was the finished article and got disillusioned when the goals didn't come. We aren't Chelsea, Man City etc where you get top quality players who can be themselves and just slot in. And we can't afford to make as many mistakes in buying players as they can. We need players who see us as an opportunity to step up and who are grateful to be here.
Reckon this is a show off support to his 'Italian' counterpart Dani Osvaldo http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/i...glass-dugout-gets-sent-off-immediately-video/
Osvaldo starting for Juventus against Trabzonspor in the Europa League tonight. Just kicked off. Being shown live on BT Sport 1 if anyone wants something to watch.
