Glad to hear that he has apologised...thought he may be one of those people who always think they are in the right. Hope he does well as then his move will go ahead permanently...his return or being paid by us to do nowt doesn't bearing thinking about. One of those things that just didn't work out.
Juve winning 2-0 now. Tevez with both the goals. Dani is on the bench, but they appear to have 11 players on the bench. Is that normal in Serie A?
From what he displayed in a saints shirt, Osvaldo can be described as selfish, petulant, arrogant, a terrible finisher, weak and poor passer. That is how he performed for us. Before that, for Roma (where he was interested), he was class. It looks like the man came here as a stop-gap between Italian clubs and sold us up the river. Good riddance. I really was so happy when he signed, but he can **** off to be honest. I still think he would have been the player we need to break teams down if he was willing to put the effort in. That's the sad part.
I think that he has a high opinion of his footballing ability (confidence, not necessarily a bad thing) and it affected him when it didn't all fall into place when he came here. He probably thought he was taking a step down coming to us, although we are in a top league. He didn't get the time on the ball he was used to. Whether he would ever have adjusted we will never know. He has a history of trouble and there was no way back after the Newcastle and Fonte incidents.
Well, we'll monitor his progress, wish him well & just hope our club gets its money back. That would be a satisfactory ending for me.
How can this be right? The guy behind me (and a couple on here) have strongly assured me that he's completely useless.
I've no idea, that guy must be right, eh. Osvaldo has looked very good, couple of minutes left now. Dropping off and holding the ball up well for Tevez too. Some lovely little flicks and back heels and he seems to be getting a lot of love off of the commentators. Chasing back a fair bit to pressure their defensive midfielders too. Has hit the post with one shot (a lovely chip) and put the ball in the net with ease from the other (was not offside). It's been a very good debut. He looks very alert, lively and keen to impress - as you would expect.
Watching him play again now winds me up in a way. His attitude looks different for them, although not surprisingly.
