I was negative the other day. Fed up with NB and NP going, also very worried about a possible Pompey scenario.

I apologise and admit I was an idiot.

I don't have a problem with anyone doubting the Allams, but most of what they are saying now has already been aired in the past. They are not due a sainthood for what they have done, but on the same hand they should not be castigated. Not one party in the current situation comes out well.
I never felt comfortable with Adam Pearson at the helm, but I never slated him, nor did I doubt his words.

Ok I'll admit it... the Allam's saved us from **** creek and to be honest, we all owe them one hell of a thank you :) and maybe an apology depending on what has actually happened; Imagine if we get Mad mick/Lee Clark, keep all of our best players and get promoted... hmm.

Don't worry about it Ricardo, it's been a long day and for some reason I thought some of the pitchfork brigade were mods. They aint.

Was on about tidying this thread up from the offtopic ****e to distract from the fact the people doing that had spent the last few days wanting to round up the Allams and burn them at the stake.

Hindsight makes the fact OLM started this quite funny.

Not so much hindsight, more the fact that the Yorkshire Post got their story wrong.

No I know not talking about that, just funny seeing a thread basically praising Allam started by you is all I meant.

One of them once lent someone he had met on a golf course enough money to save his local Scottish club.
I recall someone saying he didn't want to be involved as he didn't want the hassle that would come when things weren't going well. If he did then you have to say he was right.
Although it is disappointing that they, and the founder of Comet, who made fortunes locally have put so little back into the area (or none I am aware of), or, more specifically their local football team. They could have made a difference with their money when the likes of Jack Walker who was less wealthy was doing so.
I have to say, as much against the name change nonsense as I am, that Assem Allam puts them to shame.

But as we know now Mr Allam didn't really make a gift to Hull City.
loans, which at the end of the 2009-10 financial year had stood at £17m, had been wiped out thanks to the Allams. Nope.
