I really, really hate American football....not the game as I have never watched it...but it means you have to listen to American sportsmen, commentators and fans. I am a lady but I just want to shout at the screen: Will you shut the f*** up!!

You should watch it Fran, it's one of the most exciting sports in the world and is also hugely tactical!

Tbf, it's one of those sports where you'd probably need the commentary to know what's going on, unlike say soccer. For example, the commentary would state how many yards have been gained or lost, who made the tackle, who received the pass, etc. Suppose you could watch it on mute, but it'd be harder follow, particularly at first.
