Chill, he's just saying that there are a lot of WUMs these days that don't participate in discussions and just insult people for having a different opinion.

Who? There's always been a few who do that but it doesn't mean that not 606 has 'really gone downhill' when it 'used to be brilliant'.

Everyone has an opinion about such a big thing happening, but everyone will share it and then the topics of conversation will move on after a day or two. I don't blame anyone for that. I just don't get the idea of looking at 10+ threads about Nolan, and then making a thread about Nolan AND the number of threads about him.

Just people like pythagoras and whoever started the high five to the ashley backers thread.

Don't worry I was aware of the irony of making a new thread to say this. Hopefully we will have more to talk about soon and maybe it'll all seem a little less pessimistic

Anyway I'm gona have a nice relaxing evening, watch a few movies have some beer maybe even some popcorn an hopefully I'll fell much better tomorrow

...and I also agree with TLG. Not the same any more. Apart from the odd user like Warm Pouch who were decent posters on BBC, the 606 closure has just sent a wave of morons in our direction. I can't see any classic "Cheik the room" type threads starting any more, and they'd probably be immediately lost in a tide of banal **** if they did. :(

The idiots will be bored soon enough!

The forum is evolving and is become less of a clique. There will always be little groups within groups but we're getting a broad amount of posters now and less in-jokes which can only be a good thing.

not606 is an online football forum. That's all it is.

Can't ever remember Warm Pouch writing any other than 5* articles or comments. Alway's a good read. <ok>

The Newcastle captain has left, this is a Newcastle forum, theres no news apart from this and a slight interest in Craig Gardner, I dont know what else you expect people to discuss?
The latest teachers strikes that are imminent? The crisis in Syria, the latest transfer of Phil Jones?

Anything slightly off topic people kick off about but anything on topic people kick off about, dont understand why someone just not look at the article instead of complaining about them, and in the process ironically cluttering up the forum

I admit some of the quality has dropped e.g **** Ashley the **** but it is the summer hols, and the Gervinho one went to far.. But it only has been a matter of hours since the news has been released, where as Gervinho threads went on for weeks!

Aye. I mean it sounds cliquey as fook and I'm not adverse to the newbies, but at least ones that are like us i.e. we may not always see eye to eye with each other but respect each others' opinions!
It has been since the end of the season though so don't know whether part of it is down to it being kids as schools are winding down, 606 closing or the fact there's been a real lul in news in the close season, bar the excitement for Gervinho/Gameiro that came to nothing!

There are some double standards here at times. Some posters can say pretty much anything and it's generally accepted. Some newcomers get jumped on for not much, unfairly so in some cases. At the end of the day this is a public online forum, there aren't restrictions really as to what can be posted. People who are 'tools' will soon get bored and move on and the people that genuinely want to meaningfully contribute to the forum will still be here. There are some great discussions on here, and others that aren't worth a glance - but it's easy enough to come out of them and get on with whatever you want to do.

Exactement mon amie. If you're 'in' you can post what you like.
