Interesting read. Either way it's still horrible seeing him go but we're all winners in the deal really i guess ( Us, United and Mata, even the Glazers and Moyes to an extent )

I still think Chelsea and Mourinho are losing out as no one says he has to play with such a negative system. Even Benitez who has a history of negative tactics, didn't leave Mata out for a more negative option.

Playing with 1 up front and 5 in midfield is a very negative and defensive way of playing anyways, so it's hardly a big deal if one of them ignores his defensive duties on occasions. What's the point in making your most creative attacking player run around chasing the ball, and tiring him out, so he's to tired to do anything when he actually gets the ball.

People kept saying how great it was to have Mourinho back in England, and yes some of his interviews are entertaining, but his brand of football is dire. His tactics are to just stifle and over power the opposition physically. And as soon as your infront, off comes an attacking option and on comes Mikel, rather than trying to win by an impressive score line, like most other top sides do. Even against our shambles of a side this season, you were bringing on Mikel for your number 10 at 3-0 rather than really trying to hammer home your advantage:biggrin:

Yeh but the facts don't lie Shergar, Mourinho has us right near the top and winning more games than we have for ages and has cut out our inconsistencies, even with Mata we still played crap football, we just aren't a fancy football club and never will be, we're an efficient club, and as much as i love Mata and would have preferred him to Oscar, Mourinho's choice has been justified time and time again

Mata would never move to Manchester as he only wants to live in London. Purley said so repeatedly and he knows. He read it in an article in Shoot.

Well Man City and Arsenal both have more points, and a far better goal difference, so I wouldn't say you are over achieving this season. Considering how much your squad has cost to assemble, the only side that should be above you is Man City:biggrin:

There wasn't much choice in the end. It was either be a bench warmer or move to united.

Haven't seen you in a while. Hiding cause united aren't doing well? <whistle>

Been posting on Redcafe. Got bored of every post on the United forum being replied to by a Chav...
