"AS long as too much damage is not done in March"

A lot of the CL wannabees are similarly embroiled during March. They cannot all win their games.

  4. I really do believe that Arsenal will come tragically undone in the final third of this season. Tragic for them, that is. Not for us. For us, it will be comedy gold.

Not that I agree based on history but out of morbid curiosity, to what degree is "come tragically undone" as that could just mean finish 2nd or it could mean fall out of the top four and totally bottle it?

Wenger is too good a manager for them to finish outside the top four, just won't happen.

The Goons have only escaped losing their CL slot on the last day of the season
at least 3 times over the past 8 seasons. Not the trait of a managerial mastermind, is it.

Frustrating as it is for us, we need that complacency to remain at the Library.
We don't Kroenke et al doing wholesale buys until after they have lost their CL slot.

I think it deserves credit though, as even if it has been nail-biting finishes, often I've felt Arsenal were getting considerably weaker to the point where teams around them were getting stronger and should be finishing above them, yet Wenger's always managed to ensure they get CL qualification. I may despise Arsenal and the man himself but I think he's an incredible manager. Always amazed me when I saw the "Arsene Out" protests, though with fans like them, it's not surprising.

  10. I mean, they will not win the title, having lead it for most of the season. To Whinger that would be tragic. To Gooners, it would be tragic, too, because they arrogantly believe the title is theirs, even though most unbiased fans have seen £ity and Chavs as favourites for the entire season, having factored-in Arsenal's easy start.

On the face of it City should win the league, their incredible squad seems to be coming together under an assured manager, however I still think that it's a 3 horse race with both Arsenal and Chelsea led by shrewd operators. Arsenal are a very clever attacking machine with a better defence than I gave them credit for and Chelsea have the strength in depth and bucketloads of experience in players and manager.

I don't. They have been riding their luck for some time.
I am looking forward to this May and our next opportunity to oust them on the last day
    of the season.

Yeah have to agree with that. Mert and Koscielny have become the league's best CB pairing in my opinion yet I've usually ridiculed Arsenal defensively over recent months/ years. With the likes of Ozil, Cazorla and co in front of that, makes them a very "complete" team.

    Eurgh!

  15. Nah, sorry. Arsenal have flattered to deceive this season, for me. The bubble will pop, trust me.

The fact Wenger has been Arsenal manager for 17 years never finished outside the top four isn't a fact you can ignore, even if he has a few close run finishes as he always gets them over the finish line and that usually comes from his ability to get the team performing on these great little runs which pull back teams (like us!).

Of course where he has failed is winning trophies after the great spell he did have of winning trophies but that I see as more to do with his stubborn nature of believing in certain players which clearly can't win them trophies and I remember him once speaking of being envious of Fergies "babes" as he has always wanted to create a successful team based around young talent.

He is a superb manager and one I admire, even if he has screwed us over a few times!

Think we also need to appreciate that Wenger had to sell some key players to balance the books while Arsenal were covering the costs of the Emirates. Henry, Vieira, Fabregas, Nasri, Adebayor, Toure, Clichy were all players Wenger sold for great profits and so to be able to have sold so many over the years and yet still remain not only competitive but consistently achieve top 4, it's a credit to his managerial and business ability.

I'm going to stop now though, ****ing hate praising anyone to do with that lot.

Agree Boss and SOS (what a great sounding team). When some of the Arsenal fans were on their "Wenger out" nonsense i was really hoping they'd succeed.
