I thought it was david gold too, possibly wearing the remnants of a drag outfit from the night before.

"They are not loaded in the way you imply, they are loaded based on the bets they receive, it is a mathematical calculation."

They have to offer a suitable win ratio (the "odds" ) to tempt enough money to be wagered.
They then have to temper that ratio against the amount they would have to pay out if the
    event occurs.

When bookies "stop taking bets" , they are really saying they have crossed their maximum
loss line on the total money wagered to date.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odds#Gambling_odds_versus_probabilities

gives a good overview of the basic game the bookies are perpetually playing.

  5. Yes, I know.

I might have been using a bit of poetic licence to get my humorous point across.

    I failed, obviously.

Liverpool also replaced a successful title winning Scottish manager with another and it failed big time.

We really need the Baggies to get a point or three this evening, and they're giving Everton a good game.

Rarely have I been on the same side as Adrian Chiles <laugh>

Bugger, West Brom have been well on top and Mirallas has just put Everton ahead.

Got right back into it this weekend. The scousers play each other while we play Citeh.
Real motivation now to try and derail the Citeh juggernaut.

  16. It's going to be tough against £ity, of that none of us will have any doubts, I am certain, but I am confident that we'll be better opposition for them than the last time we played them. I think that Sherwoodie's unbeaten record in the Prem will be a big motivational plus for our lads, but I would happily take a draw right now.

Never mind your sakes, we have a chance to go top 4 if we win and the scousers draw with each other

I can't see us beating City with the form they're in. I know we're on a great run in the League ourselves but City have been phenomenal.

As for Pool and Everton, I can see Pool winning that. Everton have been great but I think Merseyside Derby at Anfield will go in the home team's favour.

I'm hoping Soton can maybe pull off a good performance against them lot, don't think they'll beat Arsenal but a draw is a strong possibility.

We do have something slightly in our favour....rest. City have two cup games before they play us next Wednesday, so we will be their 3rd game in eight days, they'll also have one eye on their next game after ours....Chelsea! if their squad is good enough to withstand that and brush us aside again, fair enough.

Have a feeling it may be like the 3-2 of 2012. We will lose, but will give a good account of ourselves.
