He's an even worse ODI captain than a test captain. Atmosphere in the field is dead, he doesn't gee up or bollock his players. Just stands there, with a look on his face like "This wasn't how we planned the game on the computer, what do I do now?" What pictures of ECB senior officials does Ravi Bopara have to keep on being selected?
Bopara really does have spectacular amount of lives. In ODI even more than test we desperately need an aggressive, Aussie style captain - which is precisely why the best one of recent years was Adam Hollioake. Cook is in no way cut out for that.
We may actually win the current game , having said that Australia are just starting to get going .........
To be fair Bopara played a usefull little cameo today. Weve still let them off the hook with our little collapse at the end of our innings. Couple more wickets now should do it tho
come on, I have a conference call at 11:00. At this rate, I'll either be screaming into the phone as the last wicket goes or shouting rude expletives as they smash a 6 to get to 301.
Hurry up I need to go to bed. Got back from my nightshift to see we were in with a shout and after two months of watching rubbish have to see this out.
England have to master the art of giving them unplayable balls....too often in this situation, we deliver balls that the opposition can smash into the crowd. Forget the wickets...dot balls.
