Any way, I think we can safely say that the XI players who line up against SL in the first test summer will be an XI who literally no-one would have guessed at the end of our last home test match. Something like (probably miles wrong): Cook, Robson, Root, Bell, Ballance, Stokes, Buttler, Bresnan, Broad, Onions, Anderson (Think it's safe to say that only Cook, Bell, Stokes, Broad and Anderson are the only guys you can be pretty safe in predicting. Five out of 11).
I can't see them going with five seamers. There'll be a front line spinner of some kind. Interesting reports coming out today about this team meeting. If true it seems to me that Pietersen's been very poorly treated here.
Add Swann to that list http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2014/feb/06/graeme-swann-baffles-kevin-pietersen-sacking-england http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/cr...England-says-former-spinner-Graeme-Swann.html "Graeme Swann says he was "baffled" by England's decision to sack Kevin Pietersen and says he witnessed nothing on the Australia tour to indicate why the batsman has been cast aside now." plenty of others backing Pietersen like Harmison, Jones, Hollioake, Simon Hughes to mention a few names
