Well that's Jonas gone then.
Duly confirmed as having signed for Norwich on loan until the end of the season

Good servant to the club, sad to see him go in some ways, but, everyone has to move on at some point and it's his turn.

I don't see what we get out of him going out on loan.
Time to do your job Kinnear and be quick in getting someone in as a replacement.

Norwich probably won't want to commit incase of relegation, can't blame them for that.

A loan won't do us many favours, but to be fair, Norwich probably right to test him on loan. So looks like they got the better deal there.

You can see where Norwich are coming from and if it was us, I'd expect the same.
But, now his space in the squad needs to be filled asap.

I wouldn't hold your breath mate. Kinnear is probably rat arsed in front of his roaring fire and having a well deserved doze. He will continue to do so throughout this transfer window. We need some reinforcements badly but they just don't give a ****. If we get a striker 'over the line' I'll be very happy but we probably won't.

Jonas: "I'm happy to be here. It's an opportunity for me to get back in the game and to try and do my best for the team. Personally I want to do the right things on the pitch and win my place, and then for the team we want to finish as high as we can." Good luck fella. <ok>

Jonas Interview at Norwich...

Jonas: "The manager told me in December I was not going to play anymore and told me to find myself another club. I don't know why it happened and I still don't understand what I did wrong. There were no rows with Alan Pardew or anything like that. He just said I needed to leave and that was that."

Definitely smacks of the follow on contract clause being an issue and Pards being told what to do.

A bit rough on Jonas, the guy gave his all for us and deserved better.

Agree. Although I do feel his legs had started to go (and for somebody who relies on work rate, that has a bigger impact on his overall game than it would for some), this is still no way to treat a loyal player, just to save some pennies. Just shows what kind of person MA is.

Realistically, I think Jonas would really struggle to make our first team this season, but he is a handy person to have on the bench for when people start getting tired. He doesn't deserve to be simply 'discarded' like this.

Hope he does well at Norwich and secures himself a permanent move.
